“You're wrong Pilgrim, laws aren't (or shouldn't be) a reflection of morality. Ideally a law is a reflection of its benefit to society as a whole. An ideal law is one that benefits the most number of people the most amount of the time and has no basis in any moral code. I don't think anyone is morally opposed to speeding, they are opposed to it because of the danger it presents. The problem with laws is when they are solely based on personal morality of as relatively small group of people and have no basis in a rational benefit to society as a whole. There is no better example of this than law that encroach on personal rights that have no significant impact on society as a whole. While there have been successful attempts to legislate morals in the past, (such as anti-abortion laws) those laws are generally very controversial and also generally the easiest to defeat when a problem arises.

It isn't going directly from A to C, you are over simplifying a much more complex issue. You are thinking about a flat map with 1 object at it's starting point going to C, which isn't exactly how Mars missions will go.A Mars missions is going to require multiple shuttles to lunch to build the shuttle that will carry the people in space, not on Earth. If we instead gathered the resources we can from the Moon instead of from Earth, we have a much smaller gravitational pull to go against. In the end, resulting in less fuel usage. There is a good amount of resources we can get from the moon too, most importantly fuel for the shuttle. So it is:A = EarthB = MoonC = point in space between Earth and MoonD = MarsYour options are:A to C 10 times then to D.orA to C 5 times, A to B 1 time and B to C 4 times then to D.It would end up taking something like 20 missions to Mars to make up for the cost if I remember right of setting up what would be required for the moon base that would mine resources and send them to a check point for construction. That and it is less risky to get things out of the Moon's pull than Earth's. So that means less failed missions at launch..
Weirdest ***** I've seen in months...!

I hated bush long before he was elected.. you think it's about parties, your wrong.. This years election I have ever voted REPUBLICAN, they only reason was because of RON PAUL.. best man for the job..However on your point about people getting involved.. its our currency, we should have the right to look at our books, If I hire a accountant or a manager for my 401k or any other invesntments, i can go review the accounts any time I please..As far as regulation , yeah get the politicians out of it.. Id agree with that , but not allowing public review.. sorry, not going to happen... not when my tax dollars are paying for it.. you want to remain secret, fine go for it, well all stop paying taxes and well see how happy the FED is when the Government can pay all that interest back.
